  1. 1. Licence. Subject to this agreement, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use FlowState (the “Software”) on computers you own or control, for your own personal, academic or internal business purposes.
  2. 2. Restrictions. Unless you have written permission from the copyright holder, you may not:
    1. copy, distribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense or otherwise make the Software available to third parties, except copies made for your own backup;
    2. modify, translate, adapt or create derivative works of the Software;
    3. reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits this despite this limitation;
    4. remove or alter any copyright notices or other proprietary notices in the Software.
  3. 3. Ownership. The Software is licensed, not sold. All rights, title and interest in the Software remain with the copyright holder. You keep ownership of the project files and results you create with the Software.
  4. 4. Third-party components. The Software includes open-source components that remain under their own licences. Those licences take precedence for those components.
  5. 5. No warranty. The Software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Results produced by the Software are engineering estimates. You must verify them independently before relying on them for design, investment, regulatory or safety decisions.
  6. 6. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the copyright holder is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or business, arising from the use of or inability to use the Software.
  7. 7. Termination. This licence ends automatically if you breach any of its terms. When it ends, you must stop using the Software and destroy all copies in your possession.
  8. 8. Governing law. This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
